yoga + meditation retreats
revival:
The word “retreat” has never resonated well with me. Perhaps that’s why I have avoided them, both as a facilitator and as a participant. So, when I have found special places—usually surrounded by Mountain or by Sea—where I knew I wanted to gather people to help bring them back to themselves, I needed a different word.
What’s the opposite of retreat? Return? Arrive? That feels better…..
And there it was; revive.
I want the days spent at any of our offerings to be a beginning, not a time-out. A chance to allow your own voice to be turned up, and the chatter to be turned down, and the ability to make those volume settings permanent.
to come or bring something back to life, health or existence
what to expect
The structure of each retreat depends on the place and people, but every offering will include yoga and meditation classes along with guidance to incorporate mindfulness tools and practices into your day to day life—and into any moment you need them. Generally, we will begin and end each day with yoga and meditation practices and then have a more active yoga practice or group outing in the middle of the day. Some other activities may include journaling exercises, breathwork classes, a mala workshop, or guided hikes. One of the most important pieces to us is creating a space that allows people to just be. So while meals and classes will be shared in a group setting, there is also space and room for participants to read, explore, and spend their moments exactly how they would like to—and enjoy the beautiful place they find themselves in. I have arrived,
I am home.
